When a priest started selling gelato in the Amici di Don Bosco in Makati in 2001, Filipinos fell in love with the sweetness and smoothness of this typically Italian treat. Originally called 'Cara Mia' which translates from Italian as 'my dear', Caramia quickly developed as a gelato cake outlet, opening in Greenhills in 2009.
